Orange cracked
Hard (sausage with cracks)
Occasional hard poos can occur, especially in formula-fed babies or when babies are introduced to solid foods. Formula-fed babies tend to produce more formed poos than breastfed babies. If the hard poos are painful to pass or persist overtime, this could be a sign of constipation. Please speak to your healthcare professional for advice. Do not give any medication, oral supplements, or other remedies to your baby unless advised by your healthcare professional.
Orange
Formula-fed babies and those who have started solid foods will have usually yellow, dark orange, or brown poos. Breastfed babies will frequently have mustard-coloured poos. This is not a medical assessment or diagnosis. It is general information only. Always seek the advice of your healthcare professional.
