Clay bumpy
Hard (sausage shaped with lumps)
Occasional hard poos can occur, especially in formula-fed babies or when babies are introduced to solid foods. Formula-fed babies tend to produce more formed poos than breastfed babies. If the hard poos are painful to pass or persist overtime, this could be a sign of constipation. Please speak to your healthcare professional for advice. Do not give any medication, oral supplements, or other remedies to your baby unless advised by your healthcare professional.
Pale/Clay
If your baby has white, pale yellow or chalky grey poos, please contact your health care professional immediately. This is not a medical assessment or diagnosis. It is general information only. Always seek the advice of your healthcare professional.
